I work at the USGS Headquarters Office of Management Services in the Facilities Portfolio Planning & Budget Office.Recently, I was a Project Manager, managing 12 contractors and the development of a comprehensive update to the USGS Strategic Facilities Management Plan (SFMP) an extensive study evaluating over 400 locations (with over 6.3 million square feet (SF)). I successfully leveraged my previous experience as a procurement professional and oversaw the entire lifecycle of the contract to include; program needs identification, Pre- Solicitation, Solicitation preparation, Solicitation, Evaluation, Award, Contract final delivery.I was then tasked with implementing key findings from the SFMP. I worked with Executives, Senior leaders, and other key stakeholders to identify and prioritize efficiency objectives that support the achievement of the strategic plan goals. I am currently achieving progress on strategic goals and implementing opportunities for improvement in our Facilities portfolio.I am a Financial Analyst SME using budget and execution data and metrics to inform facilities portfolio planning decisions. I use system reports daily to track and monitor status of fund, fund activities, and fund expenditures.I work with very complex appropriated and reimbursable fund accounts that require prudent risk management, internal control, and perform extensive reviews and audits.I present and report budget and execution data findings to all levels of our organization to include Director's Office, Mission Areas Directors, Regional Directors, Science Centers.

Volunteered as an Educational Consultant to setup a Hydroponic Garden at Minnieville Elementary School to teach skills to produce food from seed to harvest.Responsible for setting up a hydroponic grow tower with the capacity to grow 25 plants, guided seed propagation, developed train-the-trainer programs, and delivered educational modules that inspired elementary school children. Leveraged my expertise in hydroponics and teaching to play a vital role in promoting sustainable agriculture and hydroponics within public education school setting and inspiring the hearts and minds of the surrounding community.

I was attending school at Georgetown Univ. when September 11th happened. I never forgot the image of the Pentagon being hit. Shortly after the war escalated to include the invasion of Iraq I went to join the Army Reserves and wanted to do my part.My first tour was to support logistical operations at one of the largest LSA in theater. We conducted direct soldier support to a few surrounding bases.My second tour was the highlight of my service and felt the greatest contributing impact of the war effort. I actually went to the same base yet again to do logistics support. This time however our team oversaw enormous operations that directly affected the entire theater of IRAQ. It was a very rewarding experience in many ways, and I am so proud to have served to be a part of it.
