Brought a high level of polish and consistency to the Groove Music and Movies & TV apps in Windows 10 (including mobile/phone) by diving into all of the small details. Tweaked every single font, color, margin, scrollbar, and animation so the apps look and function according to the design. I bridged the gap between design and engineering, identifying potential issues before they arose, and ensured smooth communication between the two teams. I identified numerous consistency and usability issues and collaborated with multiple development teams until they were resolved, to achieve the highest quality throughout the product family as a whole.

Xbox Live – Saved hundreds of Xbox Live admins countless hours of time and frustration by designing a slick interface to replace a complicated back-end system for real-time permissions management. Through discussions with stakeholders and evaluation of their needs, I determined the high-priority actions and relevant information and created a streamlined interface that showed users what they have, when it would expire, and enabled them to extend or gain new permissions as necessary. Also increased accountability and reportability by incorporating a way to tie two systems together.IT – Enabled the corporation-wide rollout of two-factor authentication by designing the site used for initial registration and management of your profile. This feature gives employees secure external access to company resources, allowing them to be more connected and productive from any device. As this was targeting more than 100,000 users, it needed to be easy to use to incur minimal support costs, but it also needed to handle several types of scenarios. The adoption rate rose quickly and user feedback was very positive. I took on more work than I was originally brought on for, allowing the project to cut resources, and was subsequently brought back when the team wanted to add new features and update the look.

Detail-oriented with an emphasis on distinctive features like two-player online battle, simple player registration, integration with Facebook, battle invitation, real-time status notifications, and superb usability.Designed a cloud service targeting game developers who need a back-end for managing player and game state. Created a simple interface to define their entities and custom game play rules and integrate the service with their game.
