Modern Husbands is a part of a community of devoted husbands married to working spouses. We share ideas to manage money, the house, and a life full of experiences.

Working within the CFPB Office of Financial Education. Visiting scholars address complex budgetary and economic issues. The agency is especially interested in collaborating with scholars who specialize in macroeconomics, health economics, financial economics, and and public economics.

Offering financial education instructional design services. My most recent projects have been for the Council for Economic Education (National), U.S. President's Advisory Council on Financial Capability (Working Group), Ohio Department of Education, University of Pennsylvania Wharton School (KWHS), Next Gen Personal Finance, George Washington University, and Jump$tart (National).

Recognized as a national educator of the year by the Milken Foundation and Ohio Department of Education, amongst numerous other awards. An established national leader in financial education, celebrated by Money magazine and CNN as a "Money Hero". While serving as a business education teacher at Reading High School, my emphasis has been teaching financial literacy. My personal finance classes have met the criteria for college credit plus and served as a University of Cincinnati dual enrollment course. I developed our special education personal finance course collaboratively with the National Disability Institute and Chris Shannon now with the Boston Federal Reserve, thanks to a generous grant from Discover. While serving as an educator, I have advocated for stronger financial literacy requirements nationwide. I have provided proponent testimony for H.B. 383 to the Ohio House Sub-Committee on Education and Ohio Senate Sub-Committee on Education, and served as a panelist at the United States Senate Bi-Partisan Policy Luncheon on Financial Literacy, convened by Council for Economic Education. I have also written Op-Eds for numerous publications, including the Washington Post.I have served on numerous panels and advisory committees as an educator, including with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the College Board, the Ohio Department of Education, University of Pennsylvania Wharton School (KWHS Seminar), Ohio Attorney General's Office, Council of Economic Education (National), and Jump$tart (National).

The Awesome Island Game was the 2011 National Financial Education (EIFLE) Instructional Game of the Year, Tabletop. The Awesome Island Game is a great way to introduce students to the fundamental concepts of personal finance. While no game, single lesson or school assembly can substitute good teaching and a well designed course, Awesome Island is a great way to get financial education started or to further engage students in the classroom.

Cincinnati United S.C. provides soccer opportunities for kids of all abilities and desires. We consistently develop more players to play in college and have more teams win State Cup than any other club in Ohio South. We are one of the largest organizations in the Midwest, and provide select soccer opportunities for nearly 200 teams. Currently, we have nearly 13,000 players in our Recreational Outreach Program, a program I built and managed.I was responsible for managing a diverse group of leaders and a number of different projects to achieve industry leading results. I led professional coaches, trainers, volunteer coaches, and administrators to coalesce the passion and ideas of many different perspectives into achieving the club's mission.
