We are pleased to announce that Brian Leger will be taking on new responsibilities at H2M and will be playing a key role in H2M’s continued effort to increase our capabilities in the use of Autodesk’s Civil 3D software. Civil 3D allows us to optimize a variety of infrastructure project workflows, such as roadway and land development design, as well as producing plan and profile drawings for water supply distribution and sanitary sewer collection systems. Civil 3D is utilized by several of our disciplines in our various offices and we have an absolute need to continue high level and consistent training and mentoring in this area. For several years, Brian has been a driving force behind H2M’s Civil 3D user group, which includes representatives from our civil engineering, water supply, and wastewater groups. In this expanded role at the firm, Brian will also be coordinating with H2M’s IT group to ensure consistency with the ongoing CAD-related initiatives of that group. Our IT specialists will also be helping to spearhead the firm’s collaboration effort through the implementation of the online meeting capabilities of Office 365’s Skype for Business. Users will be able to interact with Brian and each other directly from their desktop, or in a conference room environment, when groups are involved. For those of you that appreciate his dedication to the projects he’s involved with, don’t despair. As a recent graduate of H2M’s rigorous project management training course, Brian will also continue to serve clients as well. Assign and oversee drafting and preparation of surveys for Project Manager / Surveyors review. Party Chief: • Responsible for directing field crew to aid in completing field record of findings including research and completing field calculations on various types of surveying projects.
