As general counsel, I lead Vox Media’s Legal & Business Affairs team, overseeing all legal functions across a broad range of practice areas, including intellectual property, privacy, first amendment issues, advertising and commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and more. Executives turn to me to provide legal and strategic guidance across the company’s lines of business.

Leaders within the company turn to me as the SVP & Deputy General Counsel, both for my corporate expertise as well as my business acumen. Here, I'm not just the legal expert, I'm a business partner who plays a role in the company's strategic decision-making and corporate development initiatives. I lead the legal team in supporting the company's strategy, M&A, and financing efforts, soup to nuts, taking the company through multiple series financings and the acquisitions of Group Nine Media, New York Media, Recode, Cafe, Punch, Criminal Podcast, and others.In addition to leading strategic transactions and corporate governance, I help lead the legal team in making risk decisions across all facets of the business. I run and have direct oversight over the legal team's role in corporate, privacy, product, insurance, real estate, brand licensing, regulatory compliance, eCommerce, and legal operations functions, while providing guidance across other areas of the business such as SaaS, procurement, commercial contracts, and longform video.
