I have always had a fascination for the human body. This fascination is only matched by a passion for helping others. This combination has lead me walking down the aisle to receive my bachelor's degree in kinesiology. I am always seeking opportunities where I could apply my knowledge toward helping others. I have had the privilege of helping rehabilitate those with spinal cord injuries, as well as engage myself in research within the department of kinesiology.The foundation for my experiences is self-improvement. I always want to push myself and test my limits. An example of this is running a half-marathon. Although I was not a runner in high school, I wanted to see if I could have been. After several months of training, I was able to accomplish my goal, leaving a feeling that anything is possible. I want to be able to show this feeling to others through the work I do. You never know where life may lead you. No matter what field you go into, it will be an ever changing field comprised of many disciplines of thought. One will face many unexpected and unfamiliar situations that challenge their knowledge and experiences. McMaster University's kinesiology program prepares a solid foundation to grow from and overcome these challenges because of its self-directed, multidisciplinary approach to learning. As a life long learner, you will always find me researching current techniques in my discipline as well as my career.I have obtained my Certified Insurance Professional (CIP) designation with honours from the Insurance Institute of Canada with the course focus on adjusting. I am in the process of obtaining my certified risk manager certification and I am concurrently learning programming in python, VBA, C, C++, and C#.
