EA Digital Platform is responsible for designing and supporting IT solutions that enable EA’s online games and game content.Develop tools and automation integrating storage, systems, and databases to improve operational processes, increase storage utilization, and reduce costs. Design standards and processes to allow a small team of storage experts to efficiently manage 7500 TB of NetApp storage. Designed, built, and manage a development laboratory for storage, systems, and databases to research and evaluate new technology, improve existing solutions, and develop new tools and automation processes.Work as part of a team responsible for the design of the storage and backup architecture, storage infrastructure management and advanced technical support. Provide technical expertise required to effectively deliver high-quality, timely IT solutions and services that meet EA’s business needs.Work closely with Project management, application development and other infrastructure teams like Network, Security and database teams to develop scalable, maintainable and highly available storage architecture. Develop, implement, and oversee policies and procedures to ensure consistent storage provisioning, uptime, regulatory compliance and data protection. Architect and Manage enterprise backup environment across data centers. Work with operations and production control teams to ensure timely resolution of issues and also perform root cause analysis. Perform proactive performance and capacity analysis on storage systems. Provide expert troubleshooting skills and guidance to Linux/UNIX/Windows administrators when it comes to configuring and maintaining client side SAN and NAS configurations. Create and updates technical documentation including infrastructure diagrams, processes and procedures.

* Responsible for designing and implementing complex storage solutions for specific customers, layout and design of storage infrastructure in multiple data centers, improving efficiency and effectiveness of current storage capabilities, mentoring and training of the engineering team on new technologies and offerings and acting as an escalation point for issues with customers and the engineering team.* Responsible for leading the Oracle Global IT Storage program by researching, developing, testing, implementing and supporting all storage related infrastructure for the global enterprise.* Manage multiple complex projects and is expected to prioritize tasks, evaluate cost, and enumerate the benefit and risk of initiatives that are evaluated.* Contribute to the review, analysis, selection, testing, risk assessment and implementation of new storage technologies.* Develop and document the business case and options for new storage recommendations and offerings including the development and identification of all benefits, risks and basic costs (OPEX and CAPEX).* Serve as liaison for your responsible product management related issues to all outside entities.* Actively participate in the Storage Competency Team as co-chair.* Serve as Global IT's highest escalation point for issues pertaining to areas of responsibility.* Responsible for Global IT’s strategic direction pertaining to areas of responsibility.* Establish and publish configuration standards pertaining to areas of responsibility.* Responsible for all educational materials pertaining to areas of responsibility.* Continually investigate new product offerings from vendors and Oracle Development.* Establish guidelines and requirements for new product evaluations and manage the evaluation process.
