Worked with sales, underwriting, presale and specialty consultants to develop a cohesive sales strategy to land targeted accounts as well as retain key accounts. Maintained an extensive knowledge of Cigna's domestic medical plan offerings. TOP QUALITY RESULTS WITH INCREASING VOLUMES AND TIGHT TURNAROUND TIMES: In first full year within the role, ranked in the top 20% of peers for accuracy of proposals, top 20% of volume of projects taken and top 20% for number of questions/problems solved and answered. I handled medical RFPs across all of Cigna's domestic group medical segments, submitted over 80% of proposals at least 24 hours in advance of sales and broker deadlines. RELATIONSHIP BUILDER: Worked with managers and peers alike in Underwriting, Sales, Presale and Account Management, to devise a pilot to improve the proposal process and product produced for brokers. The process required careful negotiation to secure buy in from all stakeholders who increased their time commitment to the proposal process in order to increase regional sales. FOUNDER/MANAGER: In January of 2013, co-founded Cigna Scholars. Cigna Scholars offers employees contemplating or currently enrolled in a higher-education program the opportunity to collaborate through mentoring, networking, and peer-to-peer support across the organization. Group members continue to increase their value to Cigna by enhancing their knowledgebase to grow the business, implementing solution-based initiatives, and sharing ideas for continued improvement. The group currently has over 25 members from across Cigna operating companies. The group will go Cigna wide by the end of the summer, with the expectation of over 2,000 members by the end of the year. The group has shown tremendous potential as a cross operating company think tank, support group and networking group.
