• Consulting with Microsoft 360: Design reporting piece of an application that tracks marketing campaigns. This involved the creation of pipelines from Azure SQL, a data model in SQL Server and Power BI, augmenting the Power BI model with DAX dimensions and measures and Power BI visualization. Train client-side stewards to maintain model and create new reporting as necessary.• Consulting with Disney: Create a deck of several dozen Tableau dashboards for analysis of online content. To get to the publishing of dashboards, measures and dimensions had to be surfaced and integrated from disparate database systems. The data warehouse that ultimately connected to Tableau was a Snowflake warehouse. Tableau dashboards were released in sprints. Jira was used for documentation and updates.

Day to day tasks include developing ETLs using SQL Server Integration Services to support requests for medical reporting and repairing existing ETLs. I also work on larger projects, including merging two large data warehouses, updating ETL tools and upgrading SQL Server to a new version.

I built an SSAS cube to support reporting on some Microsoft Sales hardware channels. Stored procedures had been organizing data for a set of reports before the cube, so, all of that specific functionality had to be absorbed and made more efficient while still offering data general enough to be useful for future reports.

Appature became a part of IMS Health in March, 2013. My job remained very much the same afterward. While another developer spent several months writing a program to replace the parts of Excel Amazon was using for their reports - they were delivering these workbooks with dozens of tabs and hundreds of lines each - I tool over his day-to-day duties. This involved data analysis. Here, I was able to either use a mySQL intervace or pl/sq. I chose the latter for the experience.I also had to make sure the reports - which continued to evolve through interaction with business users - continued to get delivered. Again, this involved querying a data warehouse with pl/sql or a mysql intervace.This job also invovlved many ad-hoc requests because of my data access

My sole responsibility for this contract was to understand a statistical model created in SAS and then transfer it into the appropriate data miner model in SQL '08. I was able to identify the variables that created churn under those circumstances and to use Data Miner to load, split the data set and test those variables in a logistic regression model.
