• Research and implement new data analysis routines based on recent developments in the field.• Write functions and scripts to process data, calculate statistics, and generate plots.• Anticipate, identify, and correct problems in EEG and fMRI pre-processing pipelines.• Implement various data reduction techniques such as PCA, ICA, and factor analysis.• Support data transfer and maintenance processes across windows, OSX, and Linux file systemsincluding over 40 TB of diverse (e.g., imaging, time series, clinical) data from many studies.• Summarize and present results to Principal Investigators and research community to facilitatedecision making, grant submissions, and/or manuscript publication in peer-reviewed journals.• Train others in lab data analysis techniques and software such as Matlab, R, SAS, and SPSS.• Develop automated quality assurance routines that integrate messy data and identify problems early.• Update, maintain, and query various SQL databases containing study data and metadata.• Train on- and off-site researchers on recording methods to support study goals and expand samples.• Work closely with Principal Investigators, contributing to research ideas, providing insight onnew methods of analysis, programming tasks, and fine-tuning studies to ensure clean data collection.

Run EEG/fMRI schizophrenia research lab, supervise staff, conduct data analysis, launch new studies, support grant submission and manuscript preparation

• Directly supervise research and programming assistants and conduct performance reviews• Monitor progress of fMRI and EEG studies towards goals• Establish and update lab policies and procedures• Develop and program more efficient data analysis routines• Interview job applicants

• Write and modify code to analyze EEG, fMRI, and behavioral data• Train others in EEG/ERP analysis and processing software• Create and modify experimental tasks in various environments• Test timing for various stimulus presentation hardware components• Research and learn new software packages for new types of data analysis

• Acquire EEG from various patients and controls for different studies• Troubleshoot hardware and learn new hardware systems • Screen potential research participants on the telephone, set up appointments, and submit payments• Update and maintain subject information in multiple databases
