Monitored and maintained production and development Oracle 11.2.0.4 database instances in multi cloud virtual Linux and Windows environments. Provided backup solutions using automated and manual database snapshot and recovery points in conjunction with Oracle Recovery Manger. CAE Migration Project: Migrated engineering UNIX user home directories, specific data and CAE/CAD Mentor applications from local HPUX workstations to central Solaris load balanced server platform. Decommissioned over 50 HP desktop workstations resulting in sizable hardware support cost savings and increased reliability and security.Linux Common OS installation Project: Part of a team responsible for the design of Common Linux OS Red Hat kick start framework and scripting to streamline OS installation. Ran product analysis on different vendor server platforms. Setup and installed racking and console systems for 30 Dell servers.Legacy Platform Migration Project: Planned, documented and executed the decommission of 300 end of life SUN OS 4.xx sparc servers while migrating 1000+ UNIX user home directories to newly upgraded Solaris 6 load balanced login platform. The multi year project resulted in a total cost savings of over $1 million savings in hardware and user support. Received Corporate Substantial Contribution Award for my project results.
