About Brian Katz

I am a partner in the Transactional Department of Troutman Pepper LLP, the public company/strategic company Business Development Leader in our Corporate and Securities Practice Group, and former Chairman of Pepper Hamilton's Corporate and Securities Practice Group and a former member of Pepper Hamilton's Executive Committee. I concentrate my practice in mergers and acquisitions, securities, venture capital and general corporate representation. I handle all types of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, venture capital transactions, joint venture relationships, corporate governance matters and compensation issues. I have extensive experience in the insurance brokerage industry, including acquisitions and dispositions, and am the Chairman of the Firm's Insurance Brokerage M&A practice group.In my public securities practice, I represent issuers and underwriters in initial and secondary public offerings. I also assist clients in complying with their federal and state reporting and disclosure requirements as public companies.
