While I have been able to use all of my IT knowledge and experience such as network administration, database development and maintenance, programming and project management, what I enjoy the most is working with a team to improve the business processes and computer systems. Every one of my previous positions have contributed skills and experiences that I can use now. Knowing hardware and software has been important, but working in and managing laboratories, working with state regulators and managing projects with million dollar budgets all have taught me things that I could not have learned anywhere else. The best thing about working in the Information Technology is that I have to be constantly learning something. There is always something to learn and integrate into the business processes and my personal bag of tricks. That is my passion.I have a biology major and a chemistry minor from Dordt College. Biology taught me that everything is a system and interconnected, which has helped me understand business and computer systems.I’m always interested in hearing from former colleagues, managers, or just interesting creative folk, so feel free to contact me if you’d like to connect.
