When I started I mostly was writing reports using Crystal Reports and MS SSRS, and doing some light development. I assisted in keeping the major systems running, trouble shooting and fixing problems, upgrading the systems and improving process flows. I also maintained data integration between systems. Some times I worked on the projects on my own, some times I was on multi-functional teams and other times I was the project manager. A fun challenge at Axios was that it operates multiple remote locations, and they were moved often based on the business requirements. That involved installing the cabling and providing connectivity. What I remember best about this position was the time working with the state legislation and regulators re-writing environmental laws and regulations. Sioux-Preme Packing Co. is a hog processing plant. They have their own water supply and treat all of their own waste water. I became a licensed water and waste water treatment operator and performed all the testing and reporting that was required by the state. When I started there was no aerosol production line, but they had the equipment on order. I had to formulate the paint that would be used for production.
