Business Support and AnalysisResponsibilities Include:• Develop and execute appropriate processes targeted at accurate and timely data management and analysis.• Data mining and analysis of both financial and non-financial information.• Monitor the General Ledger for appropriate recording of transactions.• Perform commission calculations that involve data investigation and business follow up.• Review, approve, and recommend action on finance requests pertaining to the business from the shared service groups for credit memos, accounts payable invoices, and ad hoc finance activities requiring business insights.• Collaborate with the shared service groups to close the books at month end and ensure transactions are appropriately recorded. Perform variance analysis and investigate results that do not line up with expectations. Follow up on any corrections and long term root-cause resolution needed. Prepare journal entries as needed.• Assist with day to day problem solving around business requests and requirements. Identify discrepancies with HBF Standard practices and re-aligns processes for consistent reporting of results.Financial Planning and Reporting Support Responsibilities include:• Assist with the preparation of Outlook and Budget information, rollup, consolidation and reporting• Track synergy activities across regions and business units to compile a complete view of Engineering Adhesives revenue and gross margin activity• Reconcile activity and balances between reporting systems• Assist in Global reporting and analysis• Create, publish, and analyze other reports as needed to assist with business reviews.• Create tools to enable the financial evaluation of special projects/circumstances facing the business.

Responsibilities included:Help test Financial, SOX, and Operational Controls.Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the internal controls over those activitiesHold discussions with operating personnel to verify apparent deficiencies and to obtain explanations of and reasons for deficiencies.Drive lean/continuous improvement methodologies throughout the organization.Develop and maintain productive relationships with business segment staff and management to support value-added initiatives.Make or assist in making oral and written presentations to management during and at the conclusion of the audit to recommend corrective action and suggest improvements in operations and reduction in costs.Participate in special projects as needed.
