A new position established by NOAA and detailed to NASA provided data and product leadership and guidance to new satellite system developers and the global user community. Developed charter and outline for Data Operations Support Team (DOST), creating a framework and process to test GOES-R data and products through various delivery stages. Chaired Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) between government and multiple contractor teams, assessing and providing real-time and offline GOES-R data and product monitoring and quality control requirements. Provided leadership to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Integrated Development Teams (IDTs) for product generation (PG), product distribution (PD), the GOES-R Access Subsystem (GAS), AWIPS, and Comprehensive Large Array-data Stewardship System (CLASS), facilitating knowledge of requirements and establishing performance metrics during the development of GOES-R Ground System.

Facilitated monthly User Services and Outreach meetings to develop and coordinate all travel and speaking schedules for Division, including all public and intra-governmental outreach and training. Chaired quarterly web conference held with National Weather Service Centers - 1st in OSPO to use video conferencing technology to connect SPSD with various NWS centers across North America. Consulted SPSD Web Development Team (government and contractor) and provided technical guidance to improve SPSD Web Services that led to the consolidation of web content for more straightforward navigation and increased efficiency of enterprise architecture, allowing data delivery during periods of peak demand. Set up 1st social media account for office as a testbed for disseminating real-time information to users and the public; account became model for NOAA’s Satellite and Information Service. Served as Contract Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR) for proposal, evaluations, and award for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Tool development contract in SPSD; managed the development of 1st cloud-based CRM tool used by operations for incident reporting, management reports, application and product database, and user information tracking.

The Infrastructure Team provided software development services, workstation integration and training, and software/hardware testing within the Branch to streamline office efficiency and decrease latency in product production. Provided leadership and guidance to operations contractor to ensure continuous flow and develop new inputs of satellite and ancillary data and products to the branch. This reduced the number and frequency of data outages within the branch.
