About Brian Hughes, Pmp®

Thanks for stopping by my profile! As Obi-Wan Kenobi might say, "This is not the Brian Hughes you're looking for." I'm a contractor and manager at Relative Dynamics, not the new NASA Chief of Staff. But you're welcome to stick around and learn more about me! (And if you are looking for "me" me, feel free to connect!)

With over 20 years of experience managing mission-critical weather information technology projects and programs of various sizes and values, Brian has served in the Federal Government and the private sector, promoting communication, honesty, integrity, and cultivating relationships among his peers and subordinates.

Brian’s drive lies in the successful design, development, and deployment of operational weather applications and services that optimize and improve business processes, bolster automation, enable communication and promote collaboration both intra and inter-organization.

From business development and proposal generation to project closure, Brian fosters open communication through diverse sets of tools and techniques, from the fast-paced cadence of Agile development to reports and presentations for SES and C-level executives.

Brian's interests include technologies supporting environmental sustainability, STEM education for K-12, social services and emotional support for the underprivileged, and protecting our vital natural resources. Continuous learner in programming, system administration, cloud technologies, and weather visualization and forecasting tools.

On the people side, Brian believes in developing and cultivating interpersonal relationships among team members and across organizations. He strives to get to know his team, their passions, and what motivates them to create a workflow plan and schedule where they can feel valued at work while also having a thriving home life.
