My capacity to spotlight overlooked issues, especially concerning children's rights has been the driving force behind my work. After I presented a paper on how proper Child Participation should look like in the The NGO world at the International Child Conference on Protection I realised that this is my aspiration to be a living breathing example of what proper Child Participation can result toMy role as the Assistant Child Participation Manager at Mtoto News International has offered me the opportunity to actively engage in projects aimed at enhancing child participation in matters affecting children. I tirelessly advocate for the principle that "anything for us without us is against us," emphasising the crucial empowerment of children and the amplification of their voices. My role as a founding member of the Pan-African Child Led Organisation underscores my dedication to providing children with a platform for self-expression and rights advocacy.I was an active participant in the #CovidUnder19 initiative, a global network of young advocates committed to safeguarding children's rights, particularly during the pandemic. My writing, featured in respected publications like Shajara Magazine and the Mtoto News website, spotlights children's issues. My article, "The Silent Cry of the Boy Child," serves a compelling reminder that boys are often marginalized in discussions about children's rights.Moreover, I had the privilege of chairing the Children's Committee tasked with designing and implementing the African Children Summit—an experience that was profoundly significant and professionally rewarding. This role allowed me to make a tangible, enduring impact on children's lives across the African continent.My fervor for child rights, combined with my skills and unwavering dedication as a journalist and advocate, positions me as a potent force for positive change. I am a staunch believer in the rights of all children and am committed to being a tireless champion for their well-being. No child's voice should go unheard.As I embark on my educational journey, I eagerly anticipate further developing my skills and expanding my knowledge to continue my mission of creating a better world for children. I am eager to join a learning community where I can magnify my impact and contribute meaningfully to the global discourse on child rights and media advocacy. My journey is just beginning, and I am excited to see where it leads, as I remain steadfastly dedicated to my mission of making the world a better place for all children.
