My name is Brian McGlinchey. I am an Engineering student currently studying at Rochester Institute of Technology. I have been interested in robotics since middle school where I created a First Lego League called the "Old Mystic Mindstormers" after finding no other teams in my area. I was elected captain of the team and went on to grow the team until I went to high school, where I joined the Choate Robotics Vex team. I drove the team's robot at the World Championships 3 years in a row. During my senior year of high school, I was promoted to captain of the team. During this time, my interest in robotics began to extend to other areas of technology and I became interested in building computers as well. Since then, I have built 6 computers for friends and family, as well as recommended build lists and parts for many others. In college, I chose to study Electrical Engineering as it related to my interest in robotics and computers. I am currently working toward my degree, and taking classes as a part of the robotics option to further my knowledge of robots.
