Technical architect for the Navy’s iShore application, a worldwide MOSS and BI implementation serving over 70,000 uniformed and civilian employees. Designed for service-level agreements of 99.999% uptime and performance standards worldwide.

Managed the database environment for the nation’s leading catalog and Internet supplier of audio and video products for car and home. Responsible for designing and maintaining Crutchfield’s database infrastructure across multiple call centers and distribution centers.

Integrated spatial geographic information with real-time business intelligence to build an Internet-based bank branch mapping application used by financial analysts. Created a service-based spatial data platform for use by smart-clients and Internet-based applications

Designed and managed the development of an Internet-based membership dues billing system that produces over $30M in annual revenue while saving over $1M in dues collection costs. Served as the organization’s data steward, responsible for developing an overall strategy and corresponding processes to ensure quality in the data among the applications being used to run the company.

Conceived and implemented a first-of-its-kind three-dimensional coal mine database that enabled mine inspectors to visualize mined areas and topography in three dimensions and reference historical mining data simultaneously. Project was the recipient of the Virginia Governor’s Technology Award.
