General Motors, Lansing, Warren, and Milford, MI | 1983 - 2019Modeling & Coordination Engineer 2016 – 2019 Oversight for obtaining Saber mechatronic component models from Tier 1 suppliers for both conventional and electrified propulsion vehicles, and install into model library for the purpose of performing system robustness analysis. • Led cross-functional discussions with many suppliers including Hitachi, Bosch, Continental, LGE, LG Innotek and Delta Electronics. • Assisted suppliers with procuring the Saber modeling tool (from Synopsys, Inc.).• Fostered model development of their component to meet model requirements and technical specifications.• Improved first time quality of delivered models by exercising the Saber tool in the GM computing environment and library.Modeling & Analysis Engineer 2006 - 2016Executed robustness studies on various Powertrain Sub-systems in Saber mechatronics modeling tool. Projects were organized by a cross-functional team who defined an objective, system block diagram, fishbone chart with variation sources, and BOM list. • Component Saber models were either built or delivered by suppliers, and then integrated into a system model where Monte Carlo or Worst Case analysis was performed on the signals of interest using prescribed test cases.• Completed project to study response time of engine lifter activation and deactivation for fuel management. Result was improved performance to environmental conditions which caused customer dissatisfaction.• Performed Monte Carlo analysis on various temperature sensor sub-systems to optimize the design to meet accuracy requirements.Engineering Roles Prior to 2006Vehicle Brake System Validation Engineer, Bumper FEA, Fuel Economy & Drive Quality Prediction, Transmission Calibration.
