We were a start up organization inside of Ultimate Software. The beginning of Ultimate's push into the mid-marketplace. I will hold the distinction of selling Ultimate Software's 1st Time & Labor Managment System. A system on the drawing board. At Ultimate being a "software company" we sold projects that weren't even fully developed working with new prospects for alpha & beta test for systems design. I worked regularly with development teams to meet the needs of prospects. It was a clash of cultures for me. Ultimate software was great on the surface but for me it was to much of a development company. We were a large nationwide start up group of Automatic Data Processing high producers hired away. A couple Paychex reps too. Collectively we overwhelmed Ultimate Software with new orders and implementation suffered.

ADP found my licensing particularly useful as I was the first Rep to be able to offer workers compensation insurance tied back to payroll processing. Not because licensing was necessary. I was one of the most versed people at ADP on Worker's Comp and by far the most versed when it came to salespeople. Worker's comp tied to payroll eliminates the need for workers comp audits year end while smoothing out cash flow for the employer.
