Augusta Aquatics is a lead provider of commercial swimming pools and water parks for the southeast region. From the ground down, we construct complex aquatic systems with automated valves and chemical balancing controls convenient for maintenance and operation.

I was a member of a small team of artisans concentrated on repairing, restoring, and finishing furniture and other reclaimed wood workings. Our most recent projects concentrate on preserving the history and style from the historic district of Charleston, South Carolina.

I performed precise and efficient installations of Hunter Douglas window treatments as well as other interior design products. I completed the necessary requirements to be a Certified Professional Installer for Hunter Douglas. I am responsible for all warranty repair calls within the greater Charleston area. I was involved in the education and supervision of new trainees. My daily responsibilities included communicating and scheduling appointments with clients as well as conduct follow up calls to reassure superior customer services. I was also responsible for the daily inventory of materials, parts, and tools for the position.

I conducted routine patrol to assist the needs of park visitors while enforcing state mandated rules and regulations. I was first to respond to any emergency services or rescue operation within the 22,000 acre property. I held certifications in Wildlife Search and Rescue, Wilderness First Aid, as well as AED and Oxygen Administration. During the hunting season I collected data on harvested game to assist the Quality Deer Management Association and the Sterling Forest Antler Restriction Program. In the winter, I would survey the ice thickness and determine the safety prior to opening public accessible lakes during the ice fishing season. Throughout the year, I would perform necessary maintenance to hiking trails and emergency service roads to reassure accessibility. I have completed Game of Logging Level Two Certification to assist with hazardous tree removal and forest management. I have participated in wildfire mitigation and control for the state parks in the southern region. I would conduct interpretive educational hikes encompassing the parks ecology, history, and resources for various groups and programs. When available I would assist within the office responsibilities processing amenity permits, answering phone calls and radio dispatch, as well as provide additional information to visitors.

I performed educational programs about the local ecology for various age groups within the community. As a museum interpreter at our rehabilitation center, i would handle and present native wildlife to reinforce the audience's interest and participation throughout our programs. Additional programs would include interpretive nature hikes that focused on plant and animal identification and their importance to a given habitat. I would share my enthusiasm of nature to influence the younger generations to becoming ecologically aware to our environment. Special emphasis was placed on relationships between different species, the impact of disturbance upon their environment, and the consequences of that disturbance in the possible future. I would work cooperatively with a team of educators to develop programs into an enjoyable experience. My summer responsibilities as a camp counselor included the supervision of campers while implementing a fun and safe approach to environmental education. With the assistance of my director, I performed entertaining and interactive lesson plans to reconnect children with nature which emphasized basic ecological understanding. Organization and communication skills were required to conduct a worthwhile experience for campers and parents. Other responsibly of the museum included gift shop operations, museum interpretation, and overall custodial necessitates. In many instances I was asked to be a public representative for the museum at local expositions and orientations to promote awareness and opportunities the nature museum provides for the community.

My duties included assisting certified staff with the education and supervision of children with special needs. While working with autistic children, I supported their individualized educational program with the goal of helping them function to their maximum potential. I would use innovative techniques to stimulate this learning process. I encouraged the development of proper social behaviors that would promote a higher level of independence while they progressed as members in society. This position occurred in a classroom setting with other para professionals. Working together as a team in an ever changing working environment has provided me with an appreciation of collaborative teamwork in order to accomplish a task. It also encouraged me to think outside the box when problem solving by using unconventional and innovative ideas.
