That passion led him to his STEM network manager position with eCYBERMISSION, a nationwide STEM competition administered by the National Science Teaching Association (NSTA). eCYBERMISSION includes up to 10,000 6th-9th grade students who participate annually for thousands of dollars in prizes. The program also provides a wealth of standards-based resources for teachers and students. Prior to NSTA, Brian led multiple non-profit education departments to record-setting attendance and revenue through effective team management, innovative program creation and efficient business practices.Brian is also an active volunteer with organizations that support education, diversity and inclusion, business development and volunteerism. He currently serves on the fundraising committee for Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families Sunday Soup Sunday event, as the volunteer coordinator for CareLink’s Cupcakes for Goodness Sake event and on the Auxillary Committee for Economics Arkansas.Previously, Brian served as chair of the Little Rock Regional Chamber’s young professionals program “Create Little Rock”, on the board of the Arkansas STEM Coalition, as director of the Informal Science Division for the National Science Teaching Association, as chair of the Arkansas STEM Ecosystem, as a Visionary of the Year candidate that raised funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, as “Finest” nominee that fundraised funds for the Finest program within the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, as co-chair for Soup Sunday, as president of the Metro Science and Engineering Fair, as co-founder and chair of the Volunteer Management Committee for the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and as a non-profit business mentor for SCORE.
