Continuously enhanced the system with follow on projects to comply with evolving IATA (International Air Transport Association) standards.• Delivered product enhancements that raised our ticket reissue rate by 7%. This 7% increase translated to a $65m year over year revenue increase for Delta.• From feasibility to implementation, delivered the first Automated Ticket Refund System for Delta Air Lines saving the company over $1m yearly and reducing the risk of DOT fines. Responsible for providing the distributed infrastructure (Shared Enterprise Services) needed for all application/system scaling, consolidation and new requirements across 3 major geographically separated data centers and over 150 out stations. In this role I was responsible for supervising the work of 9 Project Managers and prioritizing their work which supported over 175 separate projects, both those within our program and external support to the other programs. I am also responsible for a $15 million dollar budget, forecasting, tracking expenditures and all change management processes involved. During this ongoing effort we:•We scaled the shared storage environment by 16 Terabytes and 2 storage cabinets. We negotiated at year end and we able to secure the storage at $250K less than anticipated. We planned and front loaded this delivery so that all systems needing storage would not have adverse timeline impact.•We scaled all B2B and messaging environments to account for the exponential increase of message traffic between the Atlanta and Minneapolis data centers. This scaling consisted of over 125 B2B connections, and over 16 MQ series connections.•Deployed, installed and configured over 250 servers and associated storage in our combined airports and reservation centers.•Architected a new Exchange email environment. Once built, we migrated over 38,000 legacy NWA.com user accounts to the Delta.com email environment. This effort was extremely complex and required individual communications with every impacted user. •We deployed over 75Unix servers, 100 WINTEL and 40 Linux servers in support of the surviving systems or those selected as new.
