Encourage GitHub Ecosystem development through writing, speaking, and building engagement within GitHub's Developer Program.- Technical and Community lead for githubhackathon.com and stars.github.com.- Driving adoption to strategic features through workshops and community engagement through github.com/github-craftwork.- Maintains relationships with Top Open Source Maintainers and the GitHub Product team to drive feature research and development.- Host weekly chats with maintainers on a live stream with to 2k+ followers called Open Source Friday. A program with the goal growing open source contributors.

Worked with students learning from Bloc curriculum 1:1 and remotely across the world. Established the initial Open Source apprenticeship program, where Bloc students focus on contribution to their first open source project.

Performance(StatsD and Angular/Rails): Integrating some page profiling for response times to identify pages that could use performance improvements. This lead to the improving internal mentor dashboard response times down by 900ms. NPS Feedback Feature (Angular/Rails/Heroku Scheduler): Implemented a modal to gather Net Promoter Scores from current users. Identified which users were eligible for feedback using the Clean Ruby method for DCI(http://bit.ly/example-work). This set the groundwork for collecting user feedback going forward and has lead to other features such as Mentor Feedback and Student Feedback.Growth Engineering Product(React/Rails/JSON): Built a new product from the ground up for Marketing and our Curriculum Team to display content to drive leads to our main app. This product consumes 2 separate Rails JSON Apis into small React app using enzyme to test and webpack to render/compile it all.

Focus includes the creation and delivery of deeply technical webinars, screencasts, and tutorials about emerging technologies and industry developments while maintaining a strong and credible presence in conferences and meetups relevant to developers.Leading developer engagement and outreach with over 40 talks and workshop presented across the USA.

Assisted in a project Conversion from Angular to React while implementing some needed features to enable customers to host their modern JAMstack websites. Leading efforts towards building a public GraphQL API.

Financial Summary Feature(Ruby on Rails):Develop a feature where consumers of the IZEA platform could view their financial summaries or when they spent or received money on the platform. This feature used Ruby on Rails on the backend as well as the Rails asset pipeline to server the CSS and jQuery.Some ActiveRecord optimizations were made in using eager loading and Rails scopes to ensure load speeds were not hindered. The entire feature was tested using Capybara for feature testing and Minitest for unit testing.Twitter Photos Feature(Ruby on Rails): Implement the ability for users to send photos via Twitter, a newly added Api endpoint at that time. I created a new TwitterPhoto class in the code to handle the creation and caching of new Twitter Tweets that included photos. This feature enabled users to not only send Tweets through our platform, but easily send images as well.

-Conducted sales training and presentations for TD Inside Sales Managers and select resellers to increase mindshare within the IT distribution market. -Prospect and develop relationships with key VAR partners to consistently increase sales and profit margins to meet monthly and Q/Q goals-Serves as Tech Data's expert on the Business Partner's product line. -Oversees capturing market share/mindshare for the Business Partner and Tech Data, educating sales force and customers on the Business Partner's technology/products and building and maintaining relationships with Business Partner field sales organization.-Executes business plans to uncover new opportunities, increase sales and profits for Vendor Partner product lines and Tech Data. -Performs outbound sales calls to identified target customers/leads in order to quote, provide product information, and build relationships within the Emerson product lines.-Works to resolve complex customer issues and increase their satisfaction.-Creates, maintains opportunities and follows up on pipeline.
