I am a hard-working, driven, goal-oriented person who graduated with a Bachelor’s of university studies degree from North Dakota State University in the spring of 2017. Being allowed to take a variety of courses while pursing my degree has allowed me to focus on a variety of areas, with a special interest in the medical field. Some of the courses completed include: biochemistry, organic chemistry I and II, anatomy I and II, pharmacology, statistics, and calculus. These courses have further developed my knowledge in these specific areas, while also strengthening my abilities to problem solve, collaborate with others effectively, and manage time.PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCEI was a professional hockey player in the National Hockey League for parts of 7 seasons, for both the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Ottawa Senators. This increased my teamwork skills, while strengthening my ability to communicate as a result of competing with teammates from different backgrounds/countries, to achieve one common goal. Additionally, I am an assistant coach for the Concordia College men’s hockey team. In this role I have demonstrated patience, leadership, and teamwork. Finally, being an employee at RSW Medical since December of 2016, and now Sioux Surgical as of July 1, 2019, I have learned to effective in both autonomous and teamwork situations, and have further developed my decision-making abilities.KEY SUCCESSESI was a member of the Western Collegiate Athletic Association (WCHA) All-Rookie team in 2005-06, while playing for the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux hockey team. Additionally, I was part of the WCHA All-Academic Team in 2006-07.
