About Brian Leonard, Pmp
As a veteran structural maintenance technician I have a passion for safety, probable cause analysis and process improvement. My Aeronautics degree is focused aviation safety and human factors analysis and I am searching for opportunities to pivot into the sustainability field in the corporate environment. My dream is to find work creating innovative solutions in business to further sustainability programs and reduce emissions, waste generation, energy consumption, and to preserve critical resources.Service in the United States Air Force has been incredibly rewarding and I have gained both a professional education and hands-on experience performing safe, reliable aircraft maintenance. I have worked on several unique weapons systems including low observable and remotely piloted aircraft. I am well-versed in industrial safety and hygiene and familiar with both EPA and OSHA regulations governing hazardous materials handling, storage and disposal. I hold an active secret security clearance and have held a top-secret clearance while assigned to F-22 test and development at the Air Force Flight Test Center in California. As a senior maintenance manager in the aircraft maintenance field I have developed competency in logistics and supply chain management, cost and budget analysis, formal training management, and written and verbal communications. One of the most most rewarding experiences I have is being mentored in professional writing, which enabled me to master my craft and apply that skill to developing awards and decorations packages for my team members.I've been assigned to various duty locations in the U.S., Pacific and Southeast Asia and the middle East. These experiences have given me a broader appreciation of cultural diversity and provide me a unique perspective on global issues. The most important lesson I've learned in 23+ years is that, while the mission often comes first, people are an organizations #1 resource. I use the skills I've gained in maintenance management, organizational leadership, team-building and professional writing to develop and mentor fellow team members. Helping others achieve personal success is rewarding in itself and I believe this to be the foundation for success in any endeavor.
Listed skills include Leadership, Corrosion Prevention And Control, Collaborative Problem Solving, Active Dod Secret Clearance, and 37 others.
