Medecision is a leading provider of population health management technology and services for risk-bearing healthcare organizations across the care continuum. In this role I manage a 15-member team responsible for supporting eight products and 30+ clients for projects ranging from full implementations and improvements to incident, request, change, problem, service transition, knowledge, and SLA management processes.I am the Technical Lead for Medecision’s largest client account, where I coordinate integrations, releases, and customizations. I also serve as our SME for application performance monitoring and operational alerting, and led a proof-of-concept for upgrading from AppMon to Dynatrace’s next gen tool to support increased scope of capabilities. I was awarded the firm’s Leader of the Year award for 2018.

I was initially hired at Medecision as a full-stack developer for the Aerial Care Management software suite using Java, JSF, Oracle, Spring, Hibernate, and SOAP with SVN and Jenkins. My work included serving as a lead on a JSF upgrade, a member of the Scrum team, and was selected to several development groups focused on process and code quality improvement initiatives.

SungardHE provided software and solutions for higher education management before being sold and rebranded as Ellucian. I served in a hands-on development role building RESTful web services and a range of solutions using Spring, Hibernate, Java and JPA. I also built a rules engine prototype with Drools, contributed to R&D and prototyping for an Oracle Forms to Java/Flex migration, and evaluated SOAP web service toolkits Axis2 and Spring Web Services.

NDMA enabled sharing of healthcare data among physicians, patients, and researchers through an on-demand platform. My work at NDMA included design and implementation of numerous application modules on myNDMA’s site built in JSP, JSTL, and Struts MVC. I contributed to the development of myNDMA’s public-facing site and PHR internal web service that provided myNDMA’s back-end, designing and implementing several APIs including service method signatures, both client- and server-side business objects, and data store access.I also wrote stored procedures, assisted with data modeling, implemented Verisign for credit card processing, and led a Google Maps integration with prototypes using Picasa and the Google Health API.

During my three years with IBX I earned three promotions, with my last role focused on web-based solutions, interfaces, and APIs using Java and DB2 on Unix platforms. I also mentored and trained a co-op student in this position.
