Accenture is one of the largest global management consulting firms, focused on solving its clients' toughest challenges by providing innovation-focused services in strategy, consulting, digital, technology, and operations. Accenture exposed me to more aspects of the management consulting space than I previously had. While there I honed my leadership and client relationship skills, but also seized opportunities to create new strengths in project management, building a successful team, and business development.In my daily role I oversaw a 52 person team providing strategic advisory services to the Department of Navy. I directed all aspects of the team, including executing a multi-million dollar annual budget, managing our team members and clients, developing overall delivery strategy, and driving business expansion within the organization.

Herren is a business process and industrial engineering firm dedicated to maximizing operational efficiency and the value of taxpayer dollars spent by government organizations and the military. At Herren I led a process improvement and standardization team of six focused on removing financial procedure variations across the Department of Navy to increase transparency and prepare the organization for its audit mandate. We successfully developed standardized business procedures for eight of the Navy’s critical financial processes.

LCE provides financial analysis, reliability engineering, and change management solutions to private industry, public entities, government organizations, and the military. At LCE I focused on creating efficient and compliant business processes in support of the Department of Navy’s audit readiness goals. I led a team of five to overhaul two major financial business processes to implement sound internal control procedures, and another team of three to train stakeholders across 14 field sites on conducting enterprise business in the newly mandated Navy ERP accounting system.
