I’m a recovering space geek with one heckuva story.I am a dedicated, results-driven professional seeking the next step in an evolving career putting humans in space and working tirelessly to keep them safe while there – as well as on the way up and back.I’ve been extremely lucky to work for multi-star military Commanders and directly with amazing people in other agencies (NASA, FAA, others) to develop, and then successfully execute policy and procedures as part of your Department of Defense charged with Astronaut Rescue, Recovery and multi-discipline mission support.I’m thankful to have been part of and to have led teams, author policy, secure and allocate critical resources, seek and find new synergies, and be able to represent the mission, challenges, problems, solutions and successes to levels of government and industry that I would have never been exposed to otherwise. Along the way, I’ve been like a kid in the candy store…able to fly amazing aircraft, get hands-on with pretty awesome spacecraft simulators and vehicles, find myself next to some pretty awe-inspiring rockets and spacecraft – and buy out a few gift shops. Gotta get the t-shirt or it didn't happen, right?I’ve been a military aviator; a pilot training instructor; a senior academic instructor and curriculum developer; a Department of Defense Liaison, and most recently hit the jackpot to be assigned at both a Combatant Command component and then the ‘parent’ Command as the Human Space Flight Support Chief.I recently began my dream final military assignment at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, spearheading the DoD’s contributions to guarantee our nation’s astronauts get to and from space safely- and are protected while on orbit and beyond.
