Brian Luff is a writer, broadcaster and multi award-winning creator of digital content, including podcasts, radio, web series and short films. He is currently Head of On-Air at Humbug Radio, and recently presented weekday shows at Pluto Radio and Central Hits Radio.. Brian is developing a variety of podcast formats with Bleach Productions in London, and has worked as a senior digital content producer at the BBC, where he produced chart-topping podcasts for "Have I Got News For You" and "Q.I". Brian is a former Head of Digital Content for two global television networks, and has worked as an indie comedy writer/producer for Channel 4. Since 2005 he has co-hosted the Sowerby & Luff podcast - an audio series which has taken him around the world and resulted in a non-fiction paperback "Sex Tips for Pandas" - a book which charts the early development of podcasting.Brian is author of "The Serious Business of Writing, Performing & Selling Comedy", and also hosts courses and workshops on that subject from time to time. He works with several budding comedy writers as a mentor /consultant on various comedy-driven projects, and he is an occasional guest lecturer on the BA scriptwriting course at Bournemouth University. Brian's animated short "Song of the Water" won 5 awards in 2022 at film festivals around the world.
