Formulated and implemented capital projects from feasibility, through stakeholder and Maint/Ops analysis, clear execution, to commissioning and closeout. Efforts ranged from coordinating active construction on many smaller shutdown projects to managing multi-million dollar construction projects. Performed budget and schedule allocation and analysis throughout detailed engineering phase and construction phase and clear progress reporting throughout. Nominated to be the CRM Champion for the Engineering & Project Team as well as H2 Hearing Conservation Custodian.• Spearheaded the execution and commissioning of the final phase of machine guarding upgrades, which was a multi-year, multi-million dollar project. Based on stakeholder recommendations, learnings from the previous phases, and assessment of risk, reduced final costs of this phase by just over 40%.• Formalized the engineering to install a new gold refining process and aligned the project with our business and safety objectives. This capital project is approved for execution this year pending closure of a final feasibility study.• Engineered the replacement of a critical filter press in the precious metals process and insured that the latest industry standard safety and process improvements were approved for use in this capital project to achieve the process requirements that are currently not being met.• Orchestrated the execution of eight projects during a plant shutdown. Key focus was safety and adherence to the Project Execution Plan which required clear communication with stakeholders for each and every project to manage changes and risks.

Directed area leaders, project managers, planners, technicians, contractors, and all maintenance personnel during all major equipment outages of electrical, chemical, civil, and mechanical units. Maintained plant outage plan to facilitate effective scheduling and resource leveling. Coordinated with area leaders to maintain production output.• Managed a turnaround requiring a 50% plant site outage. This allowed for both predictive and reactive projects and repairs to be completed within the scheduled time and budget allowed.• Implemented new maintenance strategy for turnarounds of Ketene process unit, including scope lockdown, scheduling proper pre-work and setup, and clear communication with area mechanics on predictive and preventative maintenance, as well as unique repairs. • Reduced production losses by directing six major electrical substation outages.• Supervised maintenance shops. Increased productivity of employees by working directly with scheduling managers to build weekly plant schedule. Assigned daily work activities for three teams of maintenance personnel and scheduled assignments based on priorities and work conditions.

Developed project proposals and received approval for five major projects. Designed and completed two of projects ($300,000) in less than six months of obtaining position. Managed contractors, designers, and work coordinators on eight projects, including cost management, asset retirement, safety coordination, and contractor integration with plant resources.• Completed rapid repair of a production vessel to save the acid management group 135,000$ in material costs.• Initiated new and modern repair designs of aged vessels to allow for cost effective and long term repairs to be made to heavily corroded areas of the vessels. Design was over 50% more cost effective in material and labor.

Reviewed reliability data regularly with vessel and pipe inspectors to interpret, assign inspection dates, and design technical solutions to ensure availability of plant assets. Provided input on equipment modifications in capital projects from conceptual stage through commissioning, as well as managed several capital projects personally.
