About Brian Martin

I'm one of the co-founders and directors of Grow Your Own Talent CIC, a recruitment agency social enterprise operating in central Scotland which aims to provide real employment opportunities for people looking to secure a place and also progress in the labour market.Employers face major challenges all sectors of the economy and labour market in finding and retaining the skills they need to continue to operate and prosper. Growth demand for new entrants to the labour market is remarkable across all sectors. At Grow Your Own Talent CIC, we work in partnership with employers who have a recruitment need by matching them with the best suitable candidates. In our end of the partnership, we develop the employer's workers into permanent employees.Instead of profiting from the charge rate going into private shareholders pockets, Grow Your Own Talent CIC reinvest their profits into the development of the worker's skills. This way, we support employers to develop their own workforce and that of the local labour pool, improving the local economy.Together with Ian McCaig, we have combined our personal and professional experience with our passion for helping people to progress in work and life to establish the Grow Your Own Talent model. With it, our main aim is to develop the skills of those workers who find themselves underemployed or locked out of these progression opportunities. If you're an employer, message me to schedule a time to meet where I can guide you through how Grow Your Own Talent can best serve you and be of value to you.
