The Director of Development and Alumni Affairs oversees all fundraising at GMVS, as well as alumni relations and events. There are 5 staff members in the office with the goals of: increasing alumni participation in fundraising efforts and events; meeting Annual Fund and other fundraising goals each year; running smaller fundraisers to benefit scholarships.

I oversaw and implemented conservation plans on roughly 5,000 acres on the island of Martha's Vineyard. Work included grant writing for prescribed fire and mowing programs to promote Sandplain Grasslands, harvest and propogation of native vegetation for use in restoration projects, coordination of volunteer programs, monitoring of conservation easements.

Supported a range of conservation efforts on more than 10,000 acres of high-desert, cold spring ecosystem property. Roughly 1,000 of those acres are owned by TNC, with the remainder under conservation easements. My responsibilities included habitat and wildlife monitoring, community outreach, invasive plant control and habitat restoration.
