Working on contract in a small team to rapidly build a website to thank healthcare workers for their efforts combatting corona virus.

Hired as Stripe's first Engineering Manager in Dublin to build a Global EMEA team and advance Stripe's expansion across EMEA. I successfully grew the Global EMEA team to 35 people and helped grow Stripe Dublin's wider engineering function to over 60. Our Global EMEA team launched Stripe in 8 EMEA countries and built support for major European payment methods.

PageFair helped publishers measure adblocking and recover lost ad revenues. It built a sustainable advertising ecosystem supporting content creators and respecting user privacy.As co-founder and CTO I was involved in product, strategy and operations, while leading our supply-side and demand-side engineering teams that powered PageFair's advertising marketplace. PageFair was widely deployed across thousands of websites, handling > 10k q/s and recouping millions of dollars for publishers.PageFair was acquired in 2018.

Owned and operated the world's longest running real time strategy game - Utopia.Utopia is a free to play, real-time strategy in virtual persistent online fantasy world with player versus player and team versus team interactions.Utopia was acquired in 2017.

Scale Front was a startup lab, based in Dublin Ireland. Its purpose was to create a parallelized entrepreneurial approach, codifying a process to identify strong startup opportunities. PageFair (nee Block Metrics) was spun-out of the startup lab.

Under contract from Scale Front, I built out Digit's engineering function from scratch, hiring engineers and establishing engineering values. Architected Digit's flagship title (Kings of the Realm) and worked with the engineering team to execute on the product roadmap.

Front Square built a game-based learning approach to teaching Lean principles.

Developed a highly performant margining system used for risk management calculations. Increased performance of multiple systems by an order of magnitude while improving data quality.
