Everyone should run a race. It requires tremendous discipline and hard work while providing a tangible positive reward with a desire to improve and complete the next challenge. The best races are not run alone and involve months of disciplined training that vary from great days to frustrating setback. But the beauty of this work pays off on race day where you excitedly experience the highs (and lows) of the race while proudly sharing the event with the fans, other runners and your partners. At the end, once the race is run and the brunch is done, you can’t help wanting to return and do it better than before.This is how I treat my career. As an experienced product marketer, I love the hard work of bringing a product and campaign to market. I bring together a team to develop a plan and creatively uncover insights throughout the months of disciplined analytical development. These insights, just like months of training, allow for unexpected pay offs to positively ripple across an organization. Like the glow of finishing a race, bringing these pay offs to an organization is my culminating professional moment and I am always looking to improve the results for the next challenge.
