Navigate differentiates it self by looking to the internal community to define standards using the Software Process Improvement Infrastructure model (SPII). No ivory tower, just real improvement by the community for the community. This allowed me before joining Navigate to change in source control system from ClearCase to Git. Navigate Assist is a team of technical experts which consult to projects to help get them up and running faster and better using the standards defined by the community. We assist project teams with Continuous Delivery systems, Config Audit, and Environment setup and more. As part of this role, I have also setup GitHub enterprise internally, as well as JIRA and the OpenNabSource initiative to encourage cross team collaboration on code components.

    Managed technical development of a LOB Silverlight 4 application with ~10 developers. The application managed financial credit applications processing for large businesses line of credit. The project included interfacing with Oracle BPMN SOA suite as a workflow engine. My responsibilities included ensuring technical quality, UI design and continuous delivery system. The project utilised automated unit tests, as well as UI tests for automated testing out of development using Web Aii from Telerik. We also utilised SpecFlow around our unit tests.

    Development lead in Market Risk area. I was the Technical Lead on project DVAR which was involved implementing a risk calculation engine for Wholesale Banking's commodities trading portfolio. This involved technical leadership and design. We utilised .Net 3.5, SQL 2008, Microsoft Workflow Foundation, WCF services to build a web based application with batch processing on a windows service. The application processed thousands of rows of data each day creating a gigabyte of data each day. Part of being able to go live with this system involved APRA accreditation of the processing model to allow NAB to switch to internal model calculations (rather than APRA standard model). This involved running the new system in parallel with the standard model processing for 180 days, reporting regularly to APRA.
