I was promoted to a senior role to continue working with legacy scientific code written primarily in C with some C++. Throughout my tenure thus far, I have increased the speed of legacy code for specific use cases in several key markets. I directly collaborate with product engineering and other teams to identify test cases early, perform detailed code.

In my first role with the company, I worked with legacy scientific code written primarily in C with some C++ and delivered multiple transformative solutions, including successfully building a tool that converts models of optical systems from idealized systems to more physically realistic systems. Orlando, Florida Area

I was recruited to Symbiovr to study the feasibility of an integrated virtual reality gaming suite encompassing numerous elements. In this capacity, I analyzed different virtual reality technologies for a prototype system and also evaluated augmented reality devices for use outside gaming.

In this role, I developed theoretical quantum control of the Jaynes-Cummings model, including analyzing numerical data generated from optimizing the model to determine the optimum control protocol. I also compared advantages of numerically optimizing the model over standard approaches, extended optimized control, organized large optimizations, and other.

Aarhus, Denmark

Prepared and presented half the lectures to teach students about recent developments in quantum information. Assisted individuals or groups of students during office hours.

In this role, I evaluated quantum control of neural atoms and analyzed data from numerical optimizations to identify microwave and radio wave controls generating specific atomic states. I also simulated experimental imperfections to determine the impact of experimental errors in quality of synthesized states. Additionally, I numerically optimized the state.

Albuquerque, New Mexico Area

Co-led student discussions and graded assignments in order to familiarize students with advanced graduate material in quantum optics including topics like light-atom coupling, non-classical light, and dissipative quantum systems.

Tucson, Arizona Area

Investigated experimental quantum control of neutral atoms in optical lattices. Analyzed data to measure experimental parameters and accuracy of experimental controls. Operated experiment with 100+ optical elements. Worked with a team of up to 3 others to demonstrate robust control of atoms’ internal state. Modeled experiment in Mathematica and Matlab.

Tucson, Arizona Area

Assisted students during office hours and graded homework to introduce basic graduate material in mathematics for optics including Fourier theory, group theory, complex variables, special functions, ordinary and partial differential equations.

Studied experimental characterization of ZnO. Produced ZnO via reactive sputtering. Examined ZnO samples using low energy electron diffraction and Auger electron spectroscopy. Measured aspects of the surface electronic structure of ZnO via photoelectron spectra.
