I am Currently a Principal Information Security Operations Engineer for Matson. Putting my experience and skills toward building an improving threat based security operations program.Before that, I completely re-tooled security operations for Emergent Biosolutions. I also worked with Kimberly Clark on Threat Intelligence and Purple Team Strategy.Prior to that, I was with Brinks as the Lead for the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) on a short term contract. During the short time I was there, I was able to significantly increase the operational capacity and maturity of the existing security operations and analysts. The work I did to help operationalize an end point based detection system.Before that, I was at Wipro as a Sr. Manager in the Information security space. I was primarily tasked with building out, maturing and innovating security operations and incident response solutions for our many customers. I was a team lead for eBays CSIRT as well as starting up a Threat Intelligence group and building it from nothing to operational within a very short 3 month period. Prior to that, I was the Manager for the Datashield Security Operations Center. I was promoted from Senior Security Analyst, and lead responsibilities for cyber threat intelligence for Datashield. I previously held a role as a Security Operations Analyst/Incident Handler for Bechtel, Charles Schwab, and Level 3 as a security analyst.I recently earned the GIAC-GSLC certification for security leadership. I have also earned the GIAC-GCIH certification for incident handling as well as the GIAC-GPEN certification for penetration testing. Prior to concentrating in security, I worked with Minerva Enterprises from 2008 to 2010. I was the lead in the HP Asset Manager Web Tier. I participated in several Asset Manager Upgrades as well as Remediation and Tailoring projects.I began my career in hardware support and network design/administration for the City of Cathedral City Police Department and City Hall in 1999. I then went on to work at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo as the lead support technician for the north county campus and then to the Desert Sands Unified School District where I worked to implement and design procedures for the Altiris suite as well as working heavily on an implementation of a Video on demand service over the IP and Cable networks. I Earned a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance at The California State University at Sacramento.
