In my roles at Slice I managed a group of 7 Data Scientists and Product Analysts. We worked closely with the Product and Design teams to inform & guide the direction for all of our consumer- & restaurant-facing products. We did a mix of experiment design & analysis, product research, opportunity identification, metric development, and measurement.My role consisted of both people management and technical & operational leadership:- As a people manager I coached members of my team, set & checked-in on goals, and provided continuous feedback. I also designed the team’s roadmap in coordination with the Product and Design orgs. I take a lot of pride in building thoughtful, collaborative, and inclusive team cultures.- As a technical & operational lead I established processes for peer reviews, documentation, sprint planning, and retro. In this role I managed a group of 9 Data Scientists, Mixed Methods Researchers, and Data Engineers. We worked with the technology & business teams that focused on improving the WeWork member experience.- We partnered with the Product, Engineering, Research, and Design teams that build the member-facing WeWork apps and the teams that build internal tools for building managers. In this role I worked with the product teams that built the member-facing WeWork App and with the teams that built internal tools for building managers. I used methods from statistics, machine learning, and social science research to inform decision making and guide the strategy of these groups.
