About Brianna Cea

Brianna Cea is the executive director and founder of Generation Vote (GenVote), a national electoral justice organization dedicated to sparking an intersectional youth-led movement that fights for our right to vote and a just democracy for all. Through GenVote, Bri has led youth mobilization efforts around critical elections in several states including New York, Arizona, Michigan and Nevada. A skilled youth voting rights organizer and advocate for the AAPI community, Cea has been featured in Good Morning America, NPR, Vox News, as well as in USA Today, Ms. Magazine, among other outlets. Brianna was also the President of OCA-Asian Pacific Advocates NY from 2021-2023, where she was on the front-lines in the movement against Anti-Asian violence and is now serving as the Immediate Past President of the chapter. As of March 2024, Brianna also has the honor of representing her neighbors as a newly appointed Community Board Member of Queens Community Board 4. In her free time, she serves as a Trainer with the Momentum Community- where she has trained hundreds of young leaders across the United States to hone their organizer skills in shifting public opinion and building social movements-and eating her way through Little Thailand, Queens. Brianna is a former Senior Research and Program Associate at the Brennan Center for Justice. At the Brennan Center, Brianna co-authored several prominent reports on the census and redistricting. Her work has been featured in the Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Atlantic, and SCOTUSblog.Cea graduated as the Harpur College Student Marshal and summa cum laude with a BA in political science and philosophy, politics and law from Binghamton University in May 2018. While on campus, she was a Newman Civic Fellow, served as the Regional Coordinator for the Roosevelt Institute Lower Northeast Region, founded Roosevelt Institute at Binghamton University and the Broome County Student Board of Advisors, and interned with the New York Governor’s Office of Storm Recovery and Tenant Protection Unit.
