Health care is an extremely essential aspect in everyone's lives. The health care community is a high needs industry that continues to grow; I proudly am already involved in this amazing community. Caring for people and making an impact on each and every person's life is the reason why I love the healthcare field so deeply and aspire to achieve my nursing degree. I am currently enrolled at St. Norbert College and will also be attending Bellin College where I will complete my Nursing studies. Experience in the nursing field can provide a person with an advantage due to the opportunities to interact and learn new skills that only come with experience. With this in mind, I have already started working at Bellin Hospital to enhance my communication, reasoning, and listening skills. Communication is crucial while being in health care. Overall, one of my strengths is my communication whether it be with a coworker or patient. My communication skills exceed the standard as I am very personable, open minded, and respectful. A strong focus of mine is on non verbal communication. Non verbal communication emphasizes your credibility and also helps people follow your message. Lastly, clarity and concision is important when interacting with others because it makes sure the person understands the message you are trying to convey. Patient care is extremely important to me which is why I strive to surpass good and be excellent. Additionally, I was awarded with the Bellin Star Award for my excellence in patient care. Accomplishing Nursing school and becoming a nurse is a dream of mine; I aspire to make a positive impact on people's lives everyday by being a caring, affectionate and passionate nurse.
