Helping others make messages memorable, impactful, and accessible is the guiding force of my career.Before becoming a Director at West Wing Writers, I served as Chicago Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot's Senior Speechwriter—a role that allowed me to develop and amplify the City's messaging on a number of pertinent topics, including racial justice and public health. In addition to the Mayor's Office, I have also written for the Obama Foundation and Bully Pulpit Interactive. Through my current work at West Wing Writers, as well as in my role as an assistant coach to the University of Illinois at Chicago's Speech Team, I am using my speechwriting, public speaking, and mentoring skills to guide and encourage others as they share their narratives with the rest of the world.
