About Brianna A. Baker, M.Phil

Visionary. Scholar. Innovator. Activist. Revolutionary: I am committed to changing the world.I unite my passions for digital communications, public health, and psychology to bring intersectional mental health to the forefront of America’s social, moral, and political agendas. I grew up admiring Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz, and Mike Wallace for their ability to bring health discourse to a national stage, impacting millions. I hope to do the same with my career by highlighting the psychological underlayers and influences of everyday phenomena and current events that affect communities, youth, and families at large. As an APA Predoctoral Minority Fellow and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health Policy Research Scholar, I am passionate about eradicating racial health inequities and improving life trajectories for individuals and communities of color using interdisciplinary, translational research. Social justice for marginalized populations lays at the foundation of my passions and I strive to provide the community with the understanding and tactics to combat anti-Black discrimination and invoke systems-level change. As such, my goal is to serve as a lifetime advocate and to develop, foster, and facilitate liberation in those experiencing various forms of oppression. I am revolutionizing the mental health field through technology , community and policy level interventions in clinical practice, and dynamic research.

Listed skills include Leadership, Public Speaking, Customer Service, Social Media, and 9 others.
