Throughout my years in the professional social service & education world I have learned that through community, the world has a chance to renew itself again, reaching back and pulling forward ancestral wisdom and collective, healing ways of existing.My goal, is to develop community based support programs that open space for communities to create sustainable, positive outcomes - whatever they define those as - in their lives and communities. Utilizing anti-oppressive practices, a trauma informed lens, and a culturally humble approach, I feel well equip to take on new challenges. I recognize the world is changing and there are many ways to know how to rise up to meet it and therefore I am ever in a space of growth. Always welcoming new opportunities to grow personally, I seek to challenge myself through as many avenues as possible including continued education, conferences, workshops, and research. Collaborative in nature, I find strength in a team environment. I am constantly trying to better hone my skills to support communities in asserting their right to self determination. This includes being the bridge between worlds, providing guidance in navigating complex inequitable institutions, and flattening hierarchical structures.
