Brianna Higgins, MA, LPC, NCC, Ph. D. Candidate, is the owner and licensed clinical mental health counselor of Hope | Help | Healing Counseling (HHH Counseling, LLC) located on the Gulf Shores of Alabama (aka: Flora-Bama). She is licensed to provide certified teletherapy services to any resident in Alabama.Over the last six years, she has worked in private practice with young adults with PTSD, GAD, and those on the neurodivergent spectrum (ADHD/ASD). She works with individuals, couples, and families using an integrative range of psychodynamic, strengths-based, and humanistic approaches incorporating transactional analysis, personality-focused treatment, trauma resolution energy therapy, expressive/creative art therapy, and narrative therapy.She is also a Ph.D. Counselor Education and Supervision student in the Department of Counselor Education & Family Studies at Liberty University (CACREP). She serves as President of the Rho Eta Pi Rho Chapter of the Chi Sigma Iota (CSI) honor society. She also supports students in growing their professional identity, counselor competencies, and community. Brianna earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Troy University. While at Troy University, she also minored in American Sign Language Interpreting. Since then, she has been a hearing advocate for the d/Deaf community.As a doctoral candidate, Brianna is dedicated to advancing research on cultural humility and culturally informed, appropriate, and effective mental health services. Her aim is to improve outcomes for clients with diverse and intersectional identities. She firmly believes that everyone has a voice, either signed or spoken, and her goal is to empower others to find and use their voice in healthy, ethical, and effective ways. Combining her research initiatives, clinical expertise, and training through The Center for Cultural Humility at the University of California- Berkeley, she now serves as an inspiring Cultural Humility Trainer. When Brianna is not working or studying, she enjoys:- Ballroom dancing with her husband (Waltz & Argentine Tango are her favorites),- Going to concerts (emo/ punk rock circa early-mid 2000s is always on her playlist),- Playing video games (Stardew Valley, Zelda, & Animal Crossing are her most played)
