provide drop-in tutoring to all students of the Merrimack College community in mathematics and math-related coursework. Emphasis is placed on helping students understand not only what to do, but why to do it--the goal is to strengthen math and statistics skills, and not merely help with homework.

The Merrimack College Ambassadors are a select group of students dedicated to the positive promotion of the College to prospective students and families. In addition to leading campus tours for prospective students and families, Ambassadors also complete calling campaigns to admitted students, work during our large event days (Open Houses and Admitted Student Days), and assist with other events or tasks to aid the Office of Admission in its overall recruitment efforts. Resonibilities include but are not limit to:- Positively represent the student body during Admission events, campus tours, and throughout their time as a student- Provide campus visitors, in particular, prospective students and families, with a well-informed, honest, and original tour of Merrimack CollegeAct as an ambassador to prospective students and guests at Admission events; host responsibilities, hospitality, and engagement required- Perform occasional offices duties (e.g. answering phones, greeting those entering the Welcome Center, inventory, etc.)- Ensure the accuracy of information being put forth on behalf of the college

Served as a course assistant for MTH1000 - Concepts in Algebra. I worked with students to help them build their algebraic knowledge and served as a guide and mentor to explain mathematical concepts and processes.

Observing 6-8th grade mathematics and science classrooms to gain educational strategies such as classroom management, student accommodations, assessment strategies, and real-time instruction.

Working with an eight grade pre-algebra student on early mathematical concepts such as slope, proportions, and linear equations. Meet once a week to go over past homework assignments and talk through the process behind each problem.

I spent 30 hours during the semester observing various 9-12 math classes as part of my education major curriculum. I sat in on courses and observed various teaching/assessment strategies, classroom management, and student engagement.
