I started working at Family Practice Center, P.C. when I was only 17 years old working as a document scanner. Fast forward seven years and I am now a receptionist. This job has taught me how to work efficiently in a fast paced medical setting, how to answer the phone in a professional way, and medical terminology. I am very thankful for a "first" job that is closely related to my major.

As a speech-language pathology intern, I observe and experience many different medical conditions that I will see in my future as a speech pathologist. This position has taught me how to communicate with patients, learn medical terminology, and how a hospital/rehabilitation center operates.

As a speech-language pathology intern at Lebanon Middle School, I gained experience in a potential pathway in the field. I participated in playing speech related games with the students. I observed an autism classroom and learned how to understand student's differences better.
