Architecture document reviewed and suggestions for improvement provided. Provided information and proposals for including Software Defined Infrastructure to Data Centres. Built a Reference Architecture with the Network and Security group in he CTO.

Worked on the Positive train control system required by the U.S. Congress for all Class 1 trains. Worked on Reliability Availability and Maintenance (RAM) improvements in PTC electronic equipment and enhancing RAM program for all CN equipment. Also reviewed all manufacturers sites and repair locations to ensure proper reliable procedures were being used.

Consulting in the areas of system reliability, availability modeling, system architecture, performance and multi-processing architecture.

Platform Architect for the Genband GENiUS platform. I deal with reliability models and design that impacts them including: fault handling, maintenance, recovery mechanims, recovery analysis, and tools. In addition I have done extensive work on features for a wide range of areas in CVAS and the GENiUS platform including:-Geographic survivability extension to support greater separation in sites, support of a new platform and a plan to convert to L3 support with less equipment required.-Moving multiple applications to run on a new blade and share the blade along with extensions necessary to support moving more applications to share a common blade.-Reliability predictions for the GENiUS platform hardware-Reliability predictions for HW and SW on the G9 platform

The platform provides an aTCA base for applications using a Linux OS. Responsible for feature development, reliability modeling and enhancements of the fault handling and maintenance to improve availability including:• Built HW reliability Markov models for the platform to predict field availability• Provided model results and recommendations for each product/release• Generated FMECA reports and assisted suppliers with generating reports• Established recovery trees to guide emergency services through disaster recovery• Linux features to enhance fault detection and improve performance• Maintenance architect for extending the capabilities and reducing downtime• Routing feature to enhance IO capacity of the platform for TCP/IP to support LTE and IMS• Identified a solution to a recurring clocking problem in the MS system clocks

Succession provides call service over IP plus extensions to interwork with PSTN services based on a Linux OS. Responsible for guiding the different product groups in toward meeting the standards and reaching the system availability targets including:• Defined a set of general reliability requirements based on standards to provide a baseline for all nodes within the system• Reviewed implementations for all nodes to determine compliance ratings for the set of specific requirements and discussed methods to improve compliance so that system reliability and behavior matched system requirements• Provided assistance in achieving acceptable levels of compliance• The set of system requirements generated for this purpose were later used as the base for a company wide set of requirements for all products and nodes within them

Software Acrhitect for the Xa-Core project. Work includes:-Proposal for building a SMP system capable of running 35 million lines of code designed for a single processor without major re-writes.-Reviewed all design documents and made sure they all fit together with no issues-Followed the design through and helped debug the system-Found processor issues and fed the information back to the design team.-The system delivered higher than predicted reliabilty and capacity.

Added methods to control congestion and flow control in the system. Designed a replacement L4 protocol that was capable of replacing multiple other protocols at a faster speed.

Resposible for reliability predictions and related issues including features:-Reliability models for predicting platform reliability for each application supported.-Generate and review FMECA analysis reports for each blade used in each release including nelping vendors generate reports.-Routing enhancements to support much higher capacity.-Linux fault handling extensions to deal with detected fault handling deficiencies.-Linux scheduling features to improve behaviour with multiple core processors.-Maintenance enhancements to improve system behaviour. -MS clock handling changes to better deal with clocking failures.

Provided call processing speed up in the translation tables. Introduced a method for handling soft memory errors in memory systems.
