Currently working in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), with a specialty in neurological patients. Responsibilities include caring for critically ill patients with various medical problems, relief charge responding to Code Blues, rapid responses, as well precepting new hires.

Responsible for caring for neurological patients and gained experience in working with strokes, traumatic brain injuries and brain surgeries. Responded to stroke activations in the emergency department, which required intervention including tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) or external ventricular devices. Designated preceptor for new nursing graduates beginning their career in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).Achievements and Recognition:• Promoted from CN-B to CN-C classification in October of 2017• Recognized as Most Helpful Resource Nurse in 2017• Participated in the Students for International Mission Service (SIMS) in August 2015 and June 2018 in which we promoted the health of global communities by providing medical and dental care to underdeveloped areas including Manaus, Brazil and Angola, Africa
