Head Of User Experience
As Head of User Experience at Kinspire Health, a Pediatric OT virtual healthcare startup, I led the rebranding of the app, emphasizing cohesion and engagement. Through in-depth research, I understood the unique needs of caregivers and therapists, shaping UX strategies for both sides of the application, and ensuring a tailored and seamless experience. My data-driven approach, guided by analytics and feedback, resulted in more personalized and efficient designs. I also implemented a design strategy aligned with the company's vision, considering the entire user experience, both on and off-screen. These efforts not only improved the functionality and aesthetics of the app but significantly enhanced user satisfaction and engagement.
Senior Product Designer
As a Senior Product Designer at Hellosaurus, an acclaimed interactive video platform that champions children's active engagement in storytelling, I spearheaded the design and management of the groundbreaking Creator Studio 2.0 authoring tool. My role encompassed a broad spectrum of responsibilities, ranging from leading user research and testing initiatives to devising captivating content strategies for clients and partners. Additionally, I was instrumental in crafting innovative "Do-Its," which served as the activity templates available within the Creator Studio 2.0. My dedication to delivering seamless user experiences and cutting-edge design solutions played a pivotal role in fostering the platform's growth and acquisition by Brilliant.org.
Xr Immersive Learning Advisor, Designer, And Worldbuilder
Designed and built the world and environments for a bespoke multiplayer VR experience teaching Peace Literacy. Created visual design system, XRUX, and oversaw user testing. Formed and managed a relationship with Facebook Lending Program for donated VR headsets for at-risk populations. Peace Literacy, developed by Paul Chappell and Oregon State University, fosters empathy and social-emotional learning for children and adults. Running pilot program for at-risk youth in Orange County school district; documenting VR software and hardware integration for classrooms in partnership with Facebook.
Senior Ux Designer (Ios & Vui)
Engaged as a product designer and consultant, I'm designing the first multi-modal interface for the Bamboo Learning product line. In these apps built for young children, we are evolving child-voice recognition to teach literacy, which can significantly expand the effectiveness of the UX; these particular constraints make for a great challenge. I’m responsible for the groundbreaking UI/UX, visual design, and animation.
Senior Product Designer (Vui)
Working with an international team of developers and health-care consultants, I designed IntelliTek Health products showcasing SmarTek21's conversational AI platform, which was developed for global hospital groups serving millions of patients. My work included UI/UX, visual design, research, chatbot script creation and editing, and design system management.
Oculus Launch Pad Fellow
In September of 2020, I joined the Oculus Launch Pad program; this program from Facebook Reality Labs aims to inspire diversity of thought in the VR community by helping people from different backgrounds break into VR. Starting with the Launch Pad and continuing with Oculus Start, I and my team have been developing and play-testing FASTFRIENDS VR—a multiplayer, family-friendly relay race inspired by TV game shows like Family Double Dare and The Amazing Race.
Founder & Product Designer (Xrux, Vui/Ux, Kidtech, Edtech)
I founded Lightseed to create novel, safe, and inclusive multiplayer XR environments and handheld apps for healthy and educational outcomes. We produce both proprietary and client work, continuing to improve the tools, skills, and connections I made while working at Night & Day. For our clients I take only those requests where digital solutions make sense and where my experience in special-case design can make a real difference. For our proprietary projects I identify unsolved and emerging issues where we can advance the field through our prototypes and completed products.
Creative Director, Executive Producer
As Creative Director at Night & Day Studios, I built and managed teams of illustrators, animators, modelers, sound designers, composers, voiceover actors, and UI designers. I led concept development, UX, and game design efforts for more than 60 apps, 20 of which have been extensively featured by Apple. I also managed client presentations and relationships with technology partners including Amazon, Apple, and Samsung. (Along the way I invented the baby-gate that Apple recommends for mobile apps to prevent children from accessing payment and other adult features.) My designs included several bestselling apps that were the only indie products able to compete with the major studios. Finally, I oversaw the consumer research, redesign, and style-guide development effort for the Peekaboo Barn brand, which led to a successful licensing program that included a tabletop game, a collection of board books, and a line of plush toys.
Design Director
Play Designer
Interaction Designer And Front-End Developer
As The Program’s first employee, I designed a variety of digital experiences from custom blog themes to brochure websites: from email campaigns to data visualizations. I’m honored to have been involved in the early days of what has become a highly respected strategic and creative marketing consultancy.
Senior Graphic Designer
At the GISI Marketing Group’s headquarters, I led design efforts for Liquid Marketing—the company’s internal agency—where I designed a variety of printed materials for local businesses including identity, collateral, and promotional product design.
Bar And Wait Staff Member (Sabbatical / Living Abroad)
Having been raised in an intercontinental family, I was determined to live and work abroad. After saving for four years, I embarked on a year-long journey to London with my partner. I enrolled in fashion and communication design coursework at various UAL colleges throughout the city. I designed and created a line of bespoke multimedia jewelry and accessories that I sold via boutiques across the city.
Graphic Designer For Independent And International Channels
At Skagen Designs, I led graphic design efforts for the Independent and International Channels. The work I did included photo correction and enhancement, point-of-purchase (POP) display design, advertisements, warranty cards, and hang-tags. I was also selected to create the graphic identity for the launch of a white-labeled line for the Daniel Cremieux brand. This included artistic direction of all product photo shoots in addition to the retail graphics. Skagen Designs was later acquired by Fossil Brands.
